Australian University Fees For Permanent Residents

Australian Permanent Residents are classified as domestic students, but are required to pay their tuition fees up front. This means that Permanent Resident students are charged the same tuition fees as an Australian citizen or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.

Australian Permanent Residents that are for undergraduate programs will be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place, and will be charged a student contribution.

Australian Permanent Residents enrolled in a postgraduate program will be charged domestic postgraduate student rates. Where you are enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place, you will be charged a student contribution.

However, there are only a very small number of postgraduate Commonwealth supported places, and most postgraduate students will be enrolled as a Domestic Full-Fee Paying student. Regardless of your enrollment, you will be required to pay your tuition fees up front by the due date noted on your invoice.

Non-Award students will be charged full domestic tuition fees. This is the same for all domestic students, including Australian citizens.
