Fully-Funded KIMEME PhD Scholarship

Applications are invited for a fully-funded PhD studentship, starting on 1st December 2019 or soon after, in the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, in partnership with Cyber Dyne. Let’s talk about KIMEME PhD Scholarship and their focus.
Cyber Dyne is a software company focused on Intelligent Optimisation and Prescriptive AI. Its main product is KIMEME, an advanced multidisciplinary optimisation platform based on state-of-the-art bio-inspired metaheuristics and Machine Learning techniques.


  • Eligible Countries: The UK and EU candidates.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: They will study a PhD degree program in the topic of “Problem Analysis based Algorithmic Design for Industry 4.0” at the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: A strong command of Object-Oriented programming in Java and Python and a solid background in mathematics is a must for this position.
  •  Applicants are normally expected to have a first-class Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Applicants must obtain the support of a potential supervisor in the School prior to submitting their application.

How to Apply

  • To apply, participants have to register themselves in a PhD degree program at the university. Once their registration is getting confirmed, they can send their application for the grant via email to marc.williams@nottingham.ac.uk.
  • Supporting Documents: A brief covering letter in order to describe your reason for wishing to take a PhD, research area of this project, a copy of CV, university transcripts, an example of your technical writing, and contact details of two academic referees should be submitted.
  • Admission Requirements: A first-class master’s degree in the field of Computer Science or related disciplines is required.
  • Language Requirement: Students must be very sharp in the English language.

Scholarship Benefit

This fully-funded education award duration is a minimum of three years which will have a stipend of £14,777 per year and also include tuition fees.
