The Dentistry study program goal of Riga Stradins University is to prepare students for becoming qualified dentists whose knowledge and practical skills would allow them to practice in general dentistry, i.e., treat patients with oral cavities and teeth illnesses as well as be able to hold practical and educational events of dental illness prevention.
Riga Stradins University Dentistry study program is 5 years full-time program (10 semesters) equivalent to 300 ECTS and at the end of the program; the graduate students are awarded the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Students may continue their education in the post-graduate Residency study programs: orthodontics, teeth prosthetics, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, or maxillofacial surgery.

Goals of Riga Stradins University – Dentistry Faculty
The goal of the dentistry study program implemented in the faculty is to:
- prepare qualified dentists with sufficient knowledge and practical skills to start practicing general dentistry.
- treat patients with oral and dental diseases, as well as running practical activities to educate the community in the prevention of the aforementioned diseases.
The clinical base for the acquisition of specialty dentistry disciplines is the Institute of Dentistry which is an internationally recognized high-quality center for practicing dentistry in Latvia. It is located in Riga, 20 Dzirciema Street near the RSU central building. The Academic School of Dental Hygiene and Latvian Association of Dentistry Students are located in the Faculty.

The professional training of students takes place in five structural units of the Faculty of Dentistry:
