Any Special Criteria for International Students?
There are no special criteria for international students to get a scholarship in Canada. As an international student, you are just expected to meet the basic requirement of the scholarship as stated by the scholarship providers.
However, the following will give you a better opportunity of getting into Canada on a scholarship.
Academic Excellence: Most Canadian scholarships seek out high achievers. Those who will potentially cope and excel in the Canadian environment if given the opportunity.
Having a good CGPA will give you a higher chance of acceptance since most scholarships are merit-based.
Language Proficiency Test: Most international students will be required to provide a language proficiency test score such as IELTS or TOEFL. This serves as proof of proficiency in the English Language since many international students come from non-English speaking countries.
